Part of the series « Raconte-moi le Maroc extraordinaire ! » (« Tell me extraordinaries stories about Morocco! »), the show Pirates! is a musical tale, presented by the company Les Chemins des Mondes (The paths of the World). This show for young and old alike (from 7 years old) is on the schedule of cultural events at the French Institute of Oujda. Planned on Thursday, December 14th, 2017, at 10 am, at the Cultural Center Pasteur, Pirates! is about one hour long.
Pirates of Morocco
This musical tale tells a forgotten piece of history: the one of the pirates of Morocco. « During several centuries, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea were crossed by mysterious and astonishing ships raising Jolly Roger and with in their fearless sailors from all horizons. They were engaged in one of the most fabulous maritime adventures of history: El Corso! If " Pirates! " is a way to discover incredible journeys with songs and laughters, it is also a precious opportunity for spectators to discover an extraordinary and too little known page of Moroccan history, as well as the forgotten close relationship that the kingdom maintained with its neighbors from the North. ", the Institute explains.
